This weekend Marek and Burkhardt were invited to attend the NADD Dock Diving Regionals in Corning, California. Alanna and Bishop were also invited so we packed up and took all the boys down to compete!
Burkhardt jumped 15’2” on his first splash and 16’11” on his second which kept him in his senior division he normally jumps in. (He normally jumps around 17-18 feet). Im so thankful to this dogs temperament. He came out and knew exactly what we were doing, the new dock didn’t throw him at all. He did his normal run to the end of the dock and down on his own like he does at home for me. He comes out of the car ready to do whatever thing I want to do that day and I love every second with him. Marek jumped 20’8” in his first splash which kept him in his normal masters division but during his second he wasn’t as confident and jumped short with 15’11”. I’m super proud of how far he has come since we started this sport and he handled the new dock and environment really well. He was so excited to jump which was great to see him know that we were dock diving even though it was a new pool for him. It’s hard to believe two years ago at our first trial he was jumping 10 feet, we had to shut the music off and everyone had to be quiet for him to jump and now he’s the #1 Beauceron which will get him an invite to Nationals, he’s jumping over 20 feet and he is animated and excited to do the thing! Love my time on the dock with this dude.
